KEISHA WAITES
Candidate for Public Service Commissioner | District 3
THANK YOU GEORGIA
To all the voters, volunteers, donors, and supporters—thank you for continuing to believe in people-first leadership. I’ve spent my career fighting for Georgia families, and today, that fight continues. The time has come to stand up to the corporate utilities that prioritize profits over people. I’m running for Public Service Commissioner to demand transparency, lower utility rates, and energy justice for every household in Georgia.
MY PRIORITIES
I’m Keisha Sean Waites. As a three-term Georgia State Representative and former Atlanta City Council member, I’ve always put people at the center of my work—from passing laws that protect seniors and working families, to serving constituents with urgency and heart.
After leaving elected office, I joined FEMA to help families recover after disaster struck—because no one should be left behind. Today, I’m running for Public Service Commissioner to bring that same compassion, experience, and accountability to Georgia’s energy future.
I am the only candidate in this race with both legislative experience and firsthand understanding of what it means to be a Georgia Power customer. I know how government should work—for you, not the bottom line of a monopoly utility.
On the Public Service Commission, I’ll fight for:
-
Lower, stable utility rates that don’t leave families choosing between food and electricity
-
Environmental justice and clean energy jobs that empower our communities
-
Real accountability from Georgia Power and major utility projects
-
Energy equity that ensures rural, low-income, disabled, and elderly residents aren’t left behind
-
Transparency and reform in how the PSC operates and who it serves
I’m asking for your vote because I believe in doing the work—and because Georgia families deserve better. Let’s bring fairness, integrity, and bold leadership back to the Public Service Commission.
-Keisha
