Georgia Equality has endorsed Keisha Waites as the candidate best suited to advance fairness, safety, and opportunity for all Atlanta residents.
Keisha Waites has been endorsed by the Georgia Conservation Voters (GCV) who are on a mission to transform GA's political landscape by electing leaders with conservation values and holding them accountable to implementing policies that ensure clean water and air, abundant wildlife, scenic landscapes and economic opportunities for all Georgians.
This is another strong endorsement demonstrating Keisha's commitment to environmental stewardship.
Keisha Waites has been endorsed by the Georgia Chapter of the Sierra Club in appreciation of her demonstrated commitment to the environment.
The Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA) has endorsed Keisha Waites in the Atlanta City Council Post 3 city-wide race.
GABWA is a wonderful organization working to increase diversity in the judiciary and in public office, while also focusing on women and children's issues.
GABWA's endorsement strongly signals to Atlanta voters that Keisha is the only candidate in this race with the legislative and policy experience necessary to immediately tackle Atlanta's economic inequality, inconsistent city services, fight corruption in City Hall and improve the lives of all Atlantans.
My Priorities
My name is Keisha Sean Waites and I have dedicated my entire professional career to helping people and trying to improve our city.
As a former 3-term GA State Representative I had the opportunity to work on legislation that protected seniors, youth, and working families. I was singularly focused on constituent services because I was elected to level the playing field and help the people in my district live safe, productive lives. After elected office, I went to work for FEMA helping individuals and families recover from events outside of their control.
I am the only candidate in the Atlanta City Council Post 3 citywide race who has a legislative background and concrete plans for working with Local, State, and Federal agencies to get the resources we need to combat our crime situation, build more affordable housing, and clean up the ethics and transparency mess in City Hall.
I'm asking for your vote because I feel I can help the most people by influencing the policies and legislation governing how the city operates and making sure services are delivered. I have the experience, legislative knowledge, and connections at the local, state, and federal levels necessary to get the job done.
